There’s a significant change underway in the UK insulation sector. From January 2026, the well-known Celotex brand will be fully rebranded under the Soprema name.

This follows Celotex’s integration into the Soprema group. As part of that process, the Celotex brand will be phased out and replaced with Soprema-branded insulation boards. During the transition period, some projects may still be supplied with Celotex-branded products while existing stock works its way through the supply chain.

What’s actually changing (and what isn’t)

Despite the change in branding, the products themselves are not changing. The insulation boards previously sold under the Celotex name will continue to be manufactured to the same standards, using the same formulations and technical specifications.

All products within the Celotex PIR range will transition to Soprema branding, with no change to how they perform on site or in specification.

Why Celotex is still available in the meantime

Celotex-branded insulation will continue to be available while existing stock lasts. During this period, you may receive either Celotex or Soprema boards depending on availability, but the only visible difference will be the name printed on the board.

For buyers, installers and specifiers, this means continuity — the same products, now under a new brand.

Products transitioning from Celotex to Soprema

The following Celotex products are being rebranded directly to Soprema equivalents, retaining the same product codes:

• Celotex Thermaclass 21


• Celotex CW4000 cavity boards


• Celotex TB4000 PIR boards


• Celotex GA4000 PIR boards


• Celotex XR4000 PIR boards


• Celotex PL4000 insulated plasterboard

For example, Celotex GA4000 will continue as Soprema GA4000, with identical specifications and performance data.

Availability of Soprema insulation

As the transition progresses, Soprema-branded insulation boards are now available through established UK suppliers. Buyers looking to source Soprema PIR insulation can purchase the full range online via tradeinsulations.co.uk, alongside remaining Celotex stock where available.
