Our surveyors are qualified to BOHS P402 or higher. We complete surveys in line with HSG264 and the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, with samples analysed by an independent UKAS-accredited laboratory.

Reports record the scope, access limitations, photographs, ACM locations and condition, risk assessments and recommended actions, providing practical information to plan work and manage risk.

ASBESTOS REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL

Meyer Southern provides planned asbestos removal and remediation for homes, construction sites and commercial or industrial properties. Materials include asbestos cement, textured coatings, floor tiles and bitumen, soffits, gaskets, insulation board, pipework and thermal insulation where appropriate.

We assess each project based on the material, condition, access, and legal work category. We prepare site-specific risk assessments, a plan of work, and suitable controls before work begins.

Work areas are controlled using suitable containment, dust suppression, specialist vacuums, PPE and RPE. Independent air monitoring and four-stage clearance are arranged where required.

Meyer Southern Ltd is registered with the Environment Agency as an upper-tier waste carrier and dealer under registration CBDU538609. Waste is correctly packaged, labelled and transported to an authorised facility, with documentation supplied on completion.

ASBESTOS-CONTAMINATED SOIL REMEDIATION

We support developers, principal contractors, housebuilders and landowners where asbestos is identified in soil or made ground.

Working to an approved remediation strategy, services can include controlled hand-picking, segregation, excavation, dust control, load-out, waste classification, haulage, disposal and completion records. We can also coordinate UKAS-accredited laboratory analysis, WM3 assessment, WAC testing, and validation support.

Our aim is to control risk, avoid unnecessary disposal and keep the construction programme moving.
